maylarch at the 2014 oxfordshire business awards - apprenticeship category

In a recent post, we announced that Maylarch had reached the final of the Oxfordshire Business Awards 2014 in the ‘Apprenticeship of the Year’ category along with The Oxford Knowledge Company (Oxford) and Airbus Helicopters (Kidlington). On the 20th June 2014, Hatti Tweedle (HR and Training) and Florian Damien (Marketing) attended the ceremony to support Maylarch’s entry in the competition. More than 500 people were present at the Four Pillar hotel in Sandford-on-Thames, for the event which was celebrating its 20th year.

For Maylarch, it was also a very special date, as it was on that exact day 30 years ago, that the Maylarch name was registered and the company started trading from its Eynsham base. Fast forward 30 years and Maylarch has become a renowned specialist contractor whose reputation for skills and reliability has overgrown the boundaries of Oxfordshire with projects now running throughout the South and Midlands.

The ceremony was expertly presented by former rugby legend and TV presenter Martin Bayfield who, between countless rugby stories and revelations about his acting career, introduced every business taking part in the competition. Unfortunately for us the award went to Airbus Helicopters (Kidlington), congratulations to them and to all the winners and finalists. It was a great evening and a fantastic opportunity to chat with many great Oxfordshire professionals.
