Sponsorship extended for Cameron Tweedle Sailing

Following a fantastic summer season that saw Cameron sail his way through the UK and French Nationals, as well as the Finn Silver Cup Junior World Championship in Valencia, Maylarch has signed a new sponsorship agreement with Cameron Tweedle to allow him to further progress to a higher level in the Finn Class.

Managing Director, Simon Ward, was pleasantly impressed with Cameron’s determination and maturity this season: “Juggling an athletic career with academic achievements is something to be proud of and we are certainly proud of what Cameron has achieved this summer.”

For Maylarch, this continued backing is in line with the company’s commitment to ‘invest in the new generation’ which also translate as providing apprenticeship opportunities to local students and supporting local initiatives.

Now aged nearly 17 and with his GSCE’s all passed, Cameron is keen to use the next 12 months to build on the results of the last year, whilst in his first year of A level studies at Burford School . With a structured training plan over the winter, both on and off the water, he will focus on reaching the March 2016 RYA Olympic Classes National Ranking Series in peak fitness.

“I am delighted to have signed a new sponsorship agreement with Maylarch. Their support and encouragement were key in helping me develop my skills at a higher level and will allow me to train and compete in the Finn Class over the winter and into the 2016 Race season.”
