Brief:
To carry out full internal stripouts of 27 residential properties inc asbestos removal.
To carry out Type 3 asbestos surveys on all properties.
To fully demolish and dispose of 27 garage units.
Work carried out:
Maylarch worked as the demolition sub-contractor for Mansell on this project, to carry out asbestos removal, stripout and demolition on 27 properties and garages.
Key considerations were the high levels of H&S required on this site, working alongside other sub-contractor types such as scaffolders, plumbers etc.
The properties are situated within a live residential area and extra consideration was given to site safety as families resided within the area. Additional challenges included traffic management and operating plant on roads used by existing residents.
There were substantial quantities of materials which were suitable for reuse and recycling, these were identified within our SWMP and subsequently went through various routes for reuse and recycling locally.
With careful planning and liaison we were able to carry out the works in a safe, efficient and timely manner in line with the client's requirements.
