Brief: To Demolish and fully dispose of the redundant care home and attached garages including asbestos removal.
After installing hoarding to maintain site safety, we disconnected the services and carried out the removal of the AIB ceilings, bonded asbestos and DPC courses. This was followed by the full demolition and site clearance.
During the project there were several considerations as the structure was sited within a residential estate and there were often children about.
Key factors were: site safety, traffic management, road cleaning and containment to reduce /remove the risk of exposure to the public.
The project was carried out within time and budgetary constraints.
