Cheltenham Borough Homes -
Decent Homes Programme.
Client: Cheltenham Borough Homes
Value: £220,000
Brief: Services to site include thorough Type 2 and Type 3 Asbestos Survey's prior to a decent homes programme which consisted of the upgrade to kitchens and bathrooms on 250 dwellings.
The completed asbestos survey formed part of the tender documentation for the subsequent asbestos removal & refurbishment works and also gave the required documentation for CBH to implement their asbestos management plan in accordance with Regulation 4 of CAR2006 - Duty to Manage.
The Work:
The project required extensive, meticulous planning and liaising with the principal contractor, the tenants and CBH to ensure that the survey's were completed systematically and accurately to suit the requirements of the project and in accordance with the contractor's construction programme.
Maylarch carried out the subsequent asbestos removal of the ACM's identified in the surveys, to the kitchen and bathrooms. This also required careful consideration prior to removal.
Weekly meetings are held with CBH on to ensure that the programme remains within time and budgetary constraints and to address any issues which may have arisen.
This project is ongoing.
