Support to the West Oxford Community Path campaign

West Oxford Community PathThis Sunday 14th April, Simon Banks, a founder member of Bike Safe, will cycle 80 miles from Westminster to Eynsham in support of the campaign for the creation of an off road multipurpose path, for cyclists and pedestrians, between Eynsham and Oxford along the busy B4044.

The initiative already has the support from local MP Nicola Blackwood as well as the Prime Minister himself but they need to raise money to fund the project. The good news is that they have secured a special arrangement with the Oxfordshire Community Foundation which means that for every donation you make, until Sunday the Oxfordshire Community Foundation will match it !

Maylarch is based in Eynsham and with a few keen cyclists amongst the staff, we believe that this initiative will have a positive impact on West Oxford and have donated £50 to show our support.

Simon is also inviting everyone to join him of the last leg of the ride from Seacourt Bridge public house in Botley to Eynsham. It will be a great way to demonstrate to the county council the scale of demand for the community path. Join Bike Safe on Sunday afternoon at 4.30.
